clerkenwell design week 2025: on stand and on the streets

Clerkenwell Design Week has always been a magnet for creativity, but this year felt especially significant as Majestic London took its place in St. John’s Square with a stand we had the privilege of designing and curating. Quiet luxury, no limits – the essence of the brand shaped every detail of the installation, and it was rewarding to see the space come alive in the heart of Clerkenwell.

Beyond the stand, the streets themselves became the gallery. Clerkenwell’s showrooms and pop-ups offered a steady flow of inspiration: Adams & Co, Milliken, AXOR, and Bolon (complete with a Tom Dixon installation). At Mute, String Furniture, Orac, and Vitra, the details spoke volumes – with Vitra’s collaboration with Tom Dixon Liquid proving to be another highlight.

The trip wasn’t purely visual. Passing by Fabric, the iconic club, I found the doors ajar and couldn’t resist stepping in. A wander through its rooms – silent but loaded with potential – was a reminder that sound, too, is part of the design landscape. One day I’ll have to return when it’s alive with a crowd and a system at full tilt.

A few days in Clerkenwell always recharges the creative batteries: part work, part exploration, all inspiration.
