a moment in time: lagan clarendon dock

Looking back to 2019, one project that still resonates with us is the rebrand and signage installation for Lagan at their head office in Clarendon Dock.

The brief centred on creating a confident physical expression of the brand, delivered through a full suite of internal and external signage, culminating in the installation of the new Lagan logo on the south elevation of Lagan House. This elevation faces The Pump House and The Dividers sculpture, sitting within an area historically known as Sailortown – once at the heart of Belfast’s shipbuilding and dockland heritage.

The sign was engineered using a pre-installed framework of three structural box sections, onto which each letter and emblem was built up. Fabricated from stainless steel, the logo features a RAL Traffic Grey outer finish, opal faces, and back-lit LED illumination, creating a clean, architectural presence both day and night.

Projects like this highlight the importance of thoughtful, well-crafted branding – where identity, architecture and place come together to create something lasting.
